About Us
Our Why
We think girls rock. At Wayfinder Girls we encourage and support girls to be leaders, in their personal lives and in the community. Being a Wayfinder Girl means believing in yourself and in the power you have to make a positive change in the world. Being a Wayfinder Girl means blazing a path for others to follow. And when times are dark, it means lighting the way. Lighting the way to hope, lighting the way to life!
Our fictional programmes
Our programmes are for ages from 7 to 17+. Each programme is designed to meet the needs of the particular age group of girls and involve fun activities as well as stimulating challenges!
- Trailfinders: for girls aged 7 to 10
- Wayfinders: for girls aged 11 to 13
- Trailblazers: for girls aged 14 to 16
- Waymakers: for girls aged 17+
Our fictional Regional Centres
There are six regional centres, with Dux Manor also functioning as our worldwide headquarters.

Who are the people behind this website?
The author of Maggie and the Mountain of Light, Mark Snoad, and his two daughters, Mikayla Madden-Snoad and Hannah Madden-Snoad. We live in Aotearoa New Zealand, where Mark is a writer and teacher. Mikayla is currently studying Social Science at university. she is a Brownie leader (for Girl Guides / Girl Scouts) and received the Queen's Guide award in 2019. Hannah finished high-school in 2021, where she served as Head Girl at Pakuranga College. She is currently studying Health Science at university.
